As the “war” between Kogi State Senator, Dino Melaye, and online news portal, Sahara Reporters, continues, Senator Melaye, has affirmed that the Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, will go to jail, in contravention of the 2015 Cyber Crimes Act.
Senator Dino Melaye, stated this in a message he sent to Post-Nigeria, on Saturday, revealing that soon, “Sowore will rot in jail.”
Recall, that Sahara Reporters who recently re-started its campaign of calumny against Melaye, had stated that the Senator did not graduate from the Ahmadu Bello University, ABU, Zaria.
Recall also, that Melaye has however refuted this, and even gone as far as providing concrete evidence of even his Masters Degree thesis.
Furthermore, the distinguished Senator has written to the Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, requesting that Sahara Reporters and its Publisher, be brought to justice under the Cyber Crimes law.
“This act is contrary to Section 24 (1) of the Cyber Crimes (Prohibition,Prevention ETC) Act, 2015.”
“Sir, this act is highly vexatious, an insult and an attempt to impair, harm, damage, and assassinate my character.”
“I humbly implore you Sir, to use your good office to order the immediate investigation of this act, and ensure the said individuals and organisations are made to answer to the law”, Melaye said.
