From the 2017 budget, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will spend N1.1 billion to furnish its headquarters in Abuja.
The commission will also spend N40 million on refreshment and meals. The EFCC will use N4.56 billion to complete the head office building project.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is set to furnish its new office currently under construction with N1.1 billion, Punch reports.
The commission also budgeted N244 million for consultancy for the new head office project and N4.56 billion for its building completion.
According to the budget presented to the Senate by President Muhammadu Buhari, the EFCC, will also spend N40 million on refreshment and meals in 2017.
The commission also budgeted N4.5 billion for salaries and wages and will spend N212 million on fuel and lubricants.
From the money earmarked for lubricants, N156 million will be used to fuel the commission’s generators.
Also, EFCC plans to spend N50m to purchase generators; N33m to maintain them, N8.2m on electricity power back-up, N13.8m to purchase photocopying machines, N64.7m on office furniture and fittings, N455m on new vehicles, N163.5m on computer software acquisition and N13m on network service upgrade.
